Why I Always Emphasize On Email Marketing
Technology with its advent has taken a toll even in the field of marketing at last. E-mail also known as electronic mail, is now turning out as an indispensable medium of marketing on internet.
Internet as whole has a wide marketing area because of the fact that it is spread whole and wide over the whole word. This makes it accessible to almost every country and eventually to the people in the country. E-mails are very techno-savvy and more effective and fast. This is the reason that we can now see e-mails developing as an indispensable media of marketing.
Over the years people and corporate houses have started realizing the advantages of e-mail marketing. It carries a lot of advantages along with it. Some of the benefits are:
a) Speed
This is the main factor as to why it is considered better and over the other Medias of marketing. E-mail It has a very high speed of information transfer. It just takes a second for the person to transfer information from his working place to the internet worldwide, where everyone can view it worldwide.
b) Reach
One another factor as to why e-mail marketing is considered a better option is because of the fact that it has a better reach to the people worldwide than the other medias of marketing. It knows no boundaries and this helps the people to continue or conduct their marketing work in larger scale. The higher reach of e-mail attracts more people towards it and thereby assists the whole marketing process.
c) Inexpensive
E-mail is comparatively much and more cheap than that of the other medias of marketing. The people do not have to incur any special or extra cost to market their product or point of view. Being inexpensive it suits the people and they thereby resort to e-mail than the other Medias.
d) Effective
It is very effective than the other medias of marketing. The reason being, that they are very techno-savvy, very fast and still pretty cost effective. This whole package makes it very cheap and pretty attractive. This is the reason that e-mail is pretty effective and thus more approachable.
e) Personalized marketing
E-mail avails the people the opportunity to avail and conduct personalized marketing. In this the people can send mails only to people whom they think that they would be interested in it. In this the mails will only be forwarded to people on whom the concern is interested.
Thus we see that why and how e-mail marketing has turned out to be an indispensable tool in marketing.

why have I not heard from the employer after i sent transcripts? don't I have the right to know if they reject?
I graduated with bachelor of science in mathematics in May 2008 and I applied for an entry level position in an information technology company which required BS in math or computer science. The job description emphasized that no work experience is necessary and that the applicant must have bachelor degree in math or CS to get any consideration. A recruiter from that company contacted me on phone and took a 30 minute interview. He seemed very interested and said that I should relocate for the job. I agreed to relocate. The recruiter said that my salary would be considered based on GPA and experience. I told the recruiter on phone interview that my GPA is not that high. He said the degree is main thing and that even if low GPA is there, its still not a direct disqualification from job. I told the recruiter I have 2.3 cumulative GPA, but that I had several A grades in various math courses like calculus, statistics, computer science, applied math, operations research, etc etc. The recruiter seemed please and it sounded I would get the position. He said a salary of $33,280 an year would be offered as start due to GPA and no professional work experience, if hired. He then said that he wants me to email him the transcript and that they will call me for second interview in the office. He assured me low GPA isn’t direct disqualification and they will still strongly consider me for position. I emailed the transcripts to the recruiter but never heard back after that. . The recruiter specifically said low GPA is not disqualification and that initial salary will be $33,280 an year. I checked the market value of starting pay for BS in Math and it is $46,000 an year. Anyhow, why didn’t I ever hear back? What to do now?
At least common courtesy tells that an employer should respond with a letter saying, "we found better candidate". Where are those days gone? In the 1990′s and early 2000′s employers would always send letter or email of regret saying they can’t hire.
i would like to know WHY i was rejected when recruiter talked so sweetly?
brown: they knew i graduated in 2008 before they contacted me because i sent them the resume first.
The source of starting salary is National Association of Colleges and Employers. (NACE)

cwood: what negative attitude? i followed every instruction of recruiter and i was right. So i don’t have right to know if i’m rejected? why not?

i called this employer and i heard a message saying, "voice mail is full". no human responds
These days many companies go out of business sooner than they could finish reviewing your job application.
On more serious note companies no longer engage in basic niceties due to over-regulation of labor market. They do not tell you the reason why you were rejected because they do not want to be sued. Similarly they do not tell you why you were fired and refuse to give you character references.
In general, do not expect any courtesy in socialism.

Welcome to the real world.
Hundreds of resumes get submitted for 1 postion nowadays.
Most companies don’t even take the time for a computer reply back one way or the other.

since they didn’t contact you, that seems reason enough to convince you that you were rejected.
Move on.

I think you have your answer.

That is the world of interviewing for a job, especially your first job. You are going to be turned down, passed over, or ignored at least 5 more times before you are offered employment.
What source are you checking that is telling you that market value of starting pay for BS in Mathematics is $46k? That source is giving you an unrealistic expectation. I know–I *have* a degree in Mathematics.
Stop worrying about the employer following common courtesy. As long as *you* are courteous and follow up your interviews with thank-you notes then you have taken the high road.
Good luck on the next interview.
edit:
The website you note requires signing up and paying for the salary calculator; I don’t do that. I checked a couple of other sites and was seeing beginning salary ranges for jobs relying primarily upon mathematics and the numbers ranged from $27,000 to $37,000, which is similar to what they were when I started out.
Since you just graduated in 2008, then $30,000 would be a great start.
Unfortunately, you will have to get used to disappointment like the rest of us did. You will probably *never* know why a particular employer declined to offer you a position.

Maybe the employer found someone with a better attitude. If you believe that employers owe you a phone call telling you "we found a better candidate", then you’ve got an attitude problem. I interviewed a young woman once for a reception position, but her negative attitude worried me, so I kept interviewing and found a better candidate. I did phone the lady and tell her we’d decided she was not the one we wanted for the position. With an combative attitude apparent in her voice, she demanded that I tell her WHY she was not hired. I was not willing to do so as her combative attitude told me that she’s the kind of person to either do harm to our business, or sue us for not hiring her if I told her why I didn’t hire her.
If you don’t have a combative attitude, or negative attitude, you can always call and say "I hadn’t heard from you, so I thought I’d check and see if you’ve filled the position or if you’re still looking. And, if there’s anything you think I could do to make myself fit your position even better, like taking an additional class in night school, I’d love to know. I’d appreciate your recommendations as to how better be the kind of employee you want in your business as I like your business and would love to work with you. "
That’s a positive way to enquire. My main concern is that you appear to have waited 2 years for this job and didn’t put out any effort to try to get any other job. If you waited 2 years to wonder and ask this, then the job is gone and you should be looking elsewhere.
